Default My first track day EVER!!!

so i went to the track last night first ever running at a track. i made 9 runs i will give you a breakdown of a few of them.

1. 16.82 @ 82.48mph 2.62 60ft on street tires and 9psi for shits
2. 15.60 @ 88.96mph 2.54 60ft on full boost 18psi street tires
3. 15.07 @ 89.40mph 2.21 60ft slightly aired down my tires
8. 14.92 @ 89.16mph 2.07 60ft on 10.5 slicks
9. 14.76 @ 89.82mph 2.01 60ft. slicks

this was my first time ever at a real track not bad i guess for my little 2.3 lol, my best reaction time was .302, im running a stock oem replacement sachs clutch and with the slicks i launch at 5k not slipping what so ever, i would drop to low 14s if i could build boost on the line and my 60ft would be way better but oh well im proud of her. pics and vids soon if they turned out havent seen them yet

what are the half track times? (all we have is an 1/8 mile track here, so i'm curious what that translates into.)

The best run of 14.76 with the slicks, I'd say the 1/8th mile times were 9.70?

How close am I??

Not bad at all. First and only time I made any real passes with my turbo ranger I went 14.6 @ 96mph. Had a crappy 2.3 60' though. I wish I would have had time to use my Mickey Thompsons, as slicks showed a huge improvement for you.

Drag Radials help a ton. With Nittos my 03 Lightning dropped a tenth and a half and felt much stronger. The Mickey Thompson's did even better but don't last to long on the street.
