Nice runs, danger...... I'm running an all stock 87 TC motor in my ranger....... turns 15.8 @87mph.... Absolutely NO traction all of first gear and part of second....... Sure is nice to hear the turbo spool and hear everyone ask "Whats that thing got in it???"

You're right on target for times then with the setup you have. Put a FMIC on and up the boost to 18 and that alone should get your 14's pretty easy. Work on your 60' times and low 14's are right there.

It's amazing how much driver skill plays a part of your times. You have much better times in your current setup if you can improve on your part

Last time I was at the track my wife (then GF) said there was a lot of hoopla in the stands once they heard the turbo... up to that point I was 'just another Ranger'.

A stock V8 mustang in the early 80s would have that time too. Pretty sure a probe gt turbo would too. But like D94R says, you have to get good 60 ft times. According to my dynolicious program, my truck should be in the 13s, but I ran a 14.5. A 2.85 60 ft is garbage. After 60 ft, as long as you have traction and shift right, you will produce your best time.

Welding the 7.5 will help, but your biggest issue is sticky tires (or lack thereof). 245's on my LS equipped Expo 8.8 still couldn't hold me. I never got to try my MT ET streets though to see if they helped, but I bet the would have. Those things are SOFT.

I have had real good luck with grand am radials. Not sure what sizes they make, but I have 275 60 R 15s on my gmc, and after a quick burnout they barely spin with 430hp. I do have a welded rear though too. But they are even hard to do burnouts when I want to. The stock tires that I had on before, I could lay two strips of rubber for two blocks before they would hook up. I have a friend that took my advice and ran these on his stock car and used VHT and he was the top car that year. They are really soft, but a street radial. Cost on my 15s wide tire was like 93.00 a tire.
