Are you sure it's stock? He may be having this same conversation on a different forum.

Also, 3 months is a loooong time. He could come to his senses by then or fix the car up.

Make sure you get some video

Video is way over due, but I don't think he will beat you even if he has mods. I have done some reasearch on stock and power adders, and best I saw was a 12.1 with slicks, and most where 13 flat or just into the 12s. He may take you off the line if that, but I bet with every gear you gain a car length or two. Go turbo pinto!!!

i know it doesnt take much for them to make power though, a buddy of mine with a G35 with the rev up motor that has a full manifold back exhaust, custom tune and a vortech supercharger kit pushing 11lbs and he made 440hp to the wheels but i feel that i could take him though. they are still heavier cars than 350/370's which only weigh about 3200-3300lbs.

Should be a good run if he has the driver mod. The VQ motor is a beast in its power band (3500+). Im not a Z fan too much, But my daily driver is a Altima SER 6mt (Non hi-rev engine so rated at 260hp instead of his 370z rated at 330). Mine is stock with 152k now and I still pull mid 13's all day when I play around at the track. Thats front wheel driver 4 door sedan and usually full of the normal daily driver stuff.

Be careful with that Capri - v8 power is pretty instantaneous where turbo setups aren't unless you are running a 2-step or bottle to launch. Plus you say it is set up for drag, so he has a good suspension tune and such. I'm gonna say he may have you unless you are running slicks and traction aids like traction bars and such, but then you'll start snapping stuff.

You have it as a 350 Capri - he put a Chevy in it?!?! Idiot.... lol
