Cool First time at the track

First time ever I was drag racing ever. I raced agaisnt my friend's 2002 Ranger 4.0, he has a CAI and dual flowmaster exhaust, about 215-220 hp.
I was thinking to do high 19s maybe since I heard many people here say the n/a truck won't go under 20. I don't know but I had a feeling it would go under the 20s lol.
My slip is on the left and right is my friend with his ranger on right lane.

I've did 18.465 on quarter mile with speed trap 73.77 mph. My friend did 16.21 with his 4 liter. Ended the drag in third gear at around 5700 rpm. lol

Yeah 18's are right for 115ish rwhp and 3800 lbs.... least my truck weighed that with 2 people in it and all of my audio equipment (2xC12's, boxes, amp etc) according to the scrapyard scale lol Best I made on N/A power was a 16.41 @ 81.64 after stripping out about 400lbs and doing all my N/A mods. My guess is I was making 150-160rwhp on N/A power, still never got to run it past 3rd with the 6600rpm redline other than on the street. Once I get back "Top Side" in America Hat lol I'll have to do a thorough N/A build for a modest guys without changing internals to really see what I can get out of it, before eventually going turbo of course.

I was also looking to make a good N/A build and then have another monster vehicle. Considering just getting the turbo parts and running 5psi until the next summer and then getting either another engine or work this engine. I want to be able to run 12's like Jess lol

I had 3.73's, 4.10's was about the one thing I was missing to top everything off. Probably could have knocked me into the high 15's, oh the things I could have done if it didnt' die! lol I'll get a new one going eventually.

ya i think i could have gotten low 16's maybe 15's if not for the bad 2.60 60ft times.i had the mph for it but the 1000rpm launch an it would bunny hop. the wife could see it doing it in the grand stands

Mine would squat and launch pretty good about 3K with a fair amount of wheel spin, just enough to burn, lay a little patch second and squak 2 little black marks 3rd, didn't have a problem with wheel hop. That run was on a fresh set of 235 BFG radials. With a trap speed like that you should have been making more power than me or that is the difference 4.10's make

Whenever I go on backroads I practice launches 2500-3000 and just pop it or come off quick but not too quick because I don't wanna blow out the clutch ya know. hopefully going soon

... I actually heated the right tire good before the race, and launched a lil over 5k rpms....
almost no wheel spin on launch.

4.10s really do a near 2 second difference on drag times?
