I don't mind at all Bender, it's a public video so if people share that's fine.

AJ, the engines cheap, well ok inexpensive then lol.

Check this out I pulled the wheels, now I just have to make it the front wheels lol. This was on the 11.32 run.

I have the truck back together ready to beat on tomorrow with some new Calvert racing shocks and what an improvement they made.

Sure glad something didn't give. Looking forward to the new results. In a kinda good way, its making me wanna put the 4cyl on hold, and throw my previous 302 into my other ranger and start boosting. I really just want to have a 6.99 or faster 1/8th mile.

Nice times considering the rear end problems! Anxiously awaiting that 10sec slip.

Thanks guys. fordnut71 I broke a spider gear in the diff and it just damaged the ring and pinion but I thought it was a broken ring and pinion at first. I'm sure the diff broke due to the bunny hops.

Hey AirBender I checked out the thread you started on TF, yeah pretty cool response. Just for the record I now have caltac bars and calvert racing 9 way adjustable rear shocks and calvert racing 90/10 front shocks (shocks just installed this weekend), stock springs front and rear but that may change soon as well. I'm considering the calvert split mono leafs and getting some moroso trick front springs. I just need to figure out what application listing will best work in a ranger, they'll have to modified of course.

Anyway the rear shocks made a big difference in the feel of the truck but the front shocks were unbelievable just goes to show it's the combination not just one part. I'm sure I'm on the right track but it may take a bit of time to dial it in, rome wasn't built in a day.

I went to the dragstrip of Sat but I didn't have a good day. I developed a mysterious fuel issue. The previous Friday I ran my best run at the track and then aborted my first run with the "10 second" tune up drove back to starting line when the diff broke. I didn't touch a thing on the truck other than installing new gears and spool, the first time I drove the truck was the past friday night at 9:00 pm to make sure the gears were set up good and I drove it easy. Then I get to the track and it`s going lean at higher rpm and not pulling worth a $hit, I`d come off the line and i`d bog down. I was trouble shooting like crazy but to no avail. I drive the truck home and it pulls like jack the bear I took it out to beat on it today and it works great especailly with the new shocks.

So my plan is to get back to the track next weekend with the pump gas tuneup and get some consistant launches in and hopefully get at least an 11.30 out of the truck, then go back the following weekend ready for race fuel and an aggressive tune up with more boost. Then hopefully I`ll have my 10 second time slip.

one thing that made me chuckle on the TF thread was my "wrong gearing". How can you make a comment like that without knowing the combination. Another funny thing is the way my truck was launching (using clatracs) in the video is a new issue and when I ran 11.30's with the 351 and southsides I never had any issues. So it's just a new problem to work out, no big deal.

I've been driving the truck a lot this week, I have over 650 miles on frank now and it's been running great. I'm sure the fuel system gremlin is taken care of and I'm ready to return to the track but friday's weather looks crappy. They are running street cars Sat night at sparta so I think I'll be there then.

A little more data about the engine. I've reviewed my data logs from the dragstrip runs and I have turned frank as high as 8600rpm and over 8000rpm several times and have been going throught the traps at over 7000rpm. No mercy.
