Default Oil pressure issue videos

so i hooked up a mechanical oil pressure gauge to compare to my electrical they both check out. heres a few videos in sequence they were taken first is cold start last is after driving and nice and hot,
my phone kept falling down so bear with me i tried to fix it as fast as i could

cold start, has some pressure

comparing gauges up to temp

first drive video going easy lots of people out

Quick beat run to get it good and hot (short shifting)

right after beating

parked at the house good hot idle with a few revs

So what do you guys think is wrong?

maybe thats the problem then. if you cant suck the oil up it cant build pressure.

No gasket between the pump and block. When you put the pump in, however, how were the ears on the pick up tube?

I have seen issues as fordnut describes from that gasket not gettin proper clamping if the ears are tweaked.

you may not be able to see it with the naked eye. some times a a ear on the pick up tube will be bent or tweeked you cant see it, so it will leak trying to suck up oil. the fit between the pick up tube an pump has to be 100% flat an smooth an even to work with out a gasket.
if its not a tight seal it will suck air into the mix, so if you dont get oil your not making oil pressure.

Fwiw my late modle 97 2.3 had a gasket between the pickup tube and block. If I had a early block I would be going dry sump. Where are your gauges connected? Do you have a restrictor on the oil feed for your turbo? The only suggestion I can think of further is putting a drill on the auxiliary shaft and see how much pressure it builds while the motor is off. If your going to change out the pump it might be worth it to compare apples to apples when changing the pump.
