I have my feed line and sending unit tee'd in at the factory oil pressure sensor location. I don't know of any other spots. Maybe someone else can chime in.

Thats the only place I have ever seen one hooked up at.

It doesnt knock when its warm and even when it does knock it just sounds like piston slap. IMO there is nothing wrong with this motor, its just very very odd it literally reads zero when running, but like Jeff said, we took the oil cap off and a ton of oil sprays out.

yes it is

so we pulled the valve cover off and spun the pump with a drill slowly and the cam is shooting oil everywhere but the gauge still reads nothing. this thing doesnt make sence. no oil out of the back of the cam none out of the towers no leaks that we can see.
my oil holes in the cam are bigger than ranger roller holes but my internet research shows that that is common

one issue we had was trying to spin the pump with a socket through the distributer hole, it shot oil everywhere out of the hole, so i put it back and took off the timing belt and spun the pulley

anyone with a picture of your cam please post it here

my cam compared to ranger cam

bo port cam for comparison

I got a A237 cam a few weeks ago and compared the holes to a RR and it looks the same as your pic. The holes in the A237 looked huge. But i got a flash light and looked down the holes and there is a smaller hole inside of it. I dont know if yours will be like that.

Bender, we discussed that. Since he is solid, it would take a ton of time to adjust, but I think we should, he just didnt want to take all that time to adjust lifters.

Put the stock Ranger cam in fired it up and it slowly crept to 40psi just like before let it run for a second and revved it and no change just like the other cam. Back in the day it would go way up of I did that. I called delta and he says he's never heard of an issue and said let him know if it was the cam. He seems to think it is a bearing which was my first thought so the engine is coming out. If I find an issue I'll fix it if not a stock short block will go in
