Congrats to Steve(AirBender) for winning April's TOTM. I know it's not a truck but it's one badass turbo Ford!


1975 Ford pinto sedan.....
mods:
2.3 turbo block 30 over
weisco flat-top forged pistons and total seal rings
billet h-beam rods
balanced crank
bobs log header
precision 6265 turbo
3" exhaust with bullit muffler
canfield v8 adapter kit
spec stage 3+ clutch kit (v8)
t5 tranny
aluminum driveshaft
8.8 rear with cobra center section with kevlar clutch kit and 3;55 gears
big valve ported head by FASTR performance
ms2 assembled and tuned by FASTR performance
133lb injectors
billit fuel rail
255 pump
short thow shifter
subframe connectors
slapper bars
npr innercooler
hksssqv bov
fuel cell

story behind it:

i got invited to a turboford meet in charlston about 8 years ago.... one fo the guys there had a yellow pinto turbo and was giving out rides.... i jumped in and it was on!!!!!! he dumped the clutch.... i saw sky.... road....sky..... road...... sky....... you get the picture..... i had to have one....
got home and started scouring the local adds... found 2 for sale a mile from my house..... bought both of them for 95 bucks.....haha....
picked out which one i wanted to build and got started... i had this one done and on the road for 500 bucks.... the day i got it done was the day of the next turbo meet..... i fired it up, drove around the block once for a test and loaded up my clothes and drove it 3 hours to the meet...... wooo hooo.....what a blast....
over the next couple years my addiction for boost increased and the car was transformed...its not done yet but im happy with where its at for now.....heres a few pics of how it changed...

the day i got it


finished the initial swap to turbo2.3


fuel cell install and new trunk pan


the car and man (Curtis) that was the inspiration for my build...


the new motor with v8 kit ready to drop in

steve your photographer is awesome man!!!!! lol i do know that car is a cool story and has a very greatful owner. glad to say i have had my hands on that beast and ready to see it go down the track soon. congrats steve and keep up the hard work. next time ease off the clutch lol

Default '75 Pinto

Awesome build! Congratulations on a sweet little car!

I am going tomorrow to pick up a '75 myself. I have a Disi motor I am building for a '77 Pinto. Just sold it to buy the '75. It is in pristine condition! Can't wait.
